Beneficial's
Century whole life is named in honor of the Company's first 100 years. Whole life is designed to last a lifetime or to endow at age 100. It provides a guaranteed cash value, guaranteed death benefit,
and guaranteed premium. In addition, Century has an improved dividend
scale and strong long-term cash values. Don't just protect part of
your life. Protect your whole life.
The advantages of whole life
When you decide to purchase whole life insurance, you're getting
a solid set of guarantees. You can count on Century to be there when
you need it. Here are just a few of the great benefits:
- Guaranteed death benefit. Whole life
provides permanent protection for your entire life. If you pay
the required premium, you have a guaranteed death benefit for life.
- Guaranteed
cash values. Whole life builds guaranteed cash values. In addition,
Beneficial's Century whole life is eligible
for nonguaranteed dividends that you can receive in cash or
use to enhance the policy (i.e., decrease the premium, increase
the
death benefit and cash value, or decrease a policy loan). Policy
cash values and dividends can be used as you wish—for
college costs, business opportunities, emergencies, etc. (Policy
loans
and withdrawals will reduce cash value and death benefit.)
- Level
premium and lower long-term cost. Although whole life has a
higher initial premium than term, whole life premiums
remain level throughout the insured’s lifetime and eventually
become less than increasing term premiums. Whole life is less
expensive than term when covering long-term needs.
Riders and benefits enhance Century whole
life
In addition to an improved dividend scale and better long-term cash
values, Beneficial offers several riders and benefits with Century
whole life that can expand your options and make Century even more
competitive. These riders include the unique ABCI Rider and the Charitable
Giving Benefit (described below), which are especially valuable because
they are provided at no additional cost. And Beneficial Term riders
can be added to Century policies to provide greater coverage on the
primary insured and/or to insure one or more additional insureds.
- ABCI Rider. Beneficial’s innovative
Accelerated Benefits Rider for Chronic Illness gives exceptional
flexibility at a time when you may have an urgent need for funds.
The policyowner of an applicable Beneficial whole life or universal
life policy, issued as standard risk (nonrated), can apply for
the immediate payment of a discounted amount in lieu of all or
a portion of the policy death benefit if the insured is unable to perform any two of the six activites of daily living. The ABCI benefit can be used
in any way the policyowner chooses—there are no restrictions
on how the funds are used. Note that the ABCI is not a long-term
care rider or a medical-reimbursement benefit.
- Charitable Giving
Benefit. This valuable benefit gives policyowners of Century
whole life the ability to make a donation
to their favorite qualified charity at no additional cost.
Upon the death of the insured, Beneficial will donate 1 percent
of
the policy face amount, excluding riders, to a qualified charity
or civic organization chosen by the policyowner. The Charitable
Giving Benefit provides a minimum donation of $500 and a maximum
donation of $10,000. The contribution is paid out in addition
to the policy death benefit—i.e., the donation does not
reduce the proceeds payable to the beneficiary.
- Beneficial Term
riders. Owners of Beneficial’s
Century whole life can add a Beneficial Term rider to the base
policy, which gives them significant flexibility in designing
coverage for themselves and/or additional insureds (family
members or business associates).
